Parlor or pocket cornets are cornets that have their tubing tightly wrapped for a more compacted design. In the C. G. Conn “12th Edition Catalogue” c. 1888, the Parlor Cornet is advertised as, “For the use of Tourists, Ladies, and Musicians who do not desire a heavy, large instrument. This cornet has a full, rich tone and is guaranteed to be perfect in every respect.”
