Engraving: Engraved bell with “Conn and Dupont / MAKERS / ELKHART, INDIANA / Pat. Jan. 22nd 1878. / No. 199516” inside a circle, surrounded by bands of leaf decoration. The name “B.G. Smith” (in cursive) is inscribed inside a sun shape, which would have been a personalization after the plating process.

Accessories: Has the “C” pigtail; missing one or two pigtails and shanks needed for other keys. No shank on instrument.
