The 8D Connstellation double horn is listed in the 1966 “Conn Illustrated Price List” (page 6): “Preferred and used by most symphony, concert, recording and studio orchestras and service bands. Big, rich tone; free blowing; highly flexible from pianissimo to fortissimo. Solid nickel silver. Bell size 12¼”.” This model is also described on pages 102 and 104 of the 1968 “Conn Product Manual”.
