Conn alto saxophone that was modified by Conn designer Allen Loomis. It was designed as a prototype for Loomis’s “Double Resonance” saxophones (of which only six were made). Perhaps this instrument helped to get Loomis hired at the Conn Company, but that remains unknown.
Refinished by Loomis, original engraving removed.
One-of-a-kind, historical treasure.
Delicate instrument, not a finished production model.
