Notes:
This instrument has Stölzel valves, which is an early type of valve invented by Heinrich Stölzel (1777-1844) in the early 1800s. This valve design is unusual in that the valve tubes have an open bottom, which acts as the bottom hole. The valve design had some issues and created air resistance and was replaced by later valve types.
More research is needed on this instrument. One possibility is that it may be a reproduction of an early trumpet design, possibly created by the Conn company for their instrument museum.
Tuning slide marked “G”. No other markings.
